PINE HILL, NJ.- On Thursday, August 19, 2021 Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Pine Hill Police Chief Christopher Winters announced that a Glassboro, New Jersey woman has been charged after striking and killing a pedestrian with her car on Blackwood-Clementon Road in Pine Hill, New Jersey.
Michaela Ferraiolo, 23, of Glassboro, New Jersey has been Charged with One Count of Second Degree Vehicular Homicide while operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and One Count of Second Degree Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Accident, including multiple Motor Vehicle Offenses.
On Thursday, August 19, 2021, at approximately 2:23 a.m., Members of The Pine Hill Police Department responded to the area of Blackwood-Clementon Road and Spring Street on a report of a man lying in the roadway. Upon arrival, Police Officers observed a vehicle travelling from the scene at an accelerated rate of speed. Police Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop after noticing front end damage to the vehicle. Ms. Ferraiolo was taken into custody, and subsequently charged.
The victim, later identified as David Bonnet, 56, of Gloucester Township, New Jersey was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Ms. Ferraiolo was processed and released on certain pretrial conditions pending future Court Proceedings.
