A THIRD SHOOTING IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS INJURIES THREE IN PATERSON, NEW JERSEY

PATERSON, NJ.- On Monday, July 5, 2021, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that at approximately 5:44 a.m. on Monday July 5, 2021, Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of East 23rd Street and William Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, Police Officers established a potential crime scene, but were unable to locate any victims.
A short time later, Members of The Paterson Police Department were notified that a 31-Year-Old Male Paterson resident, a 43-Year-Old Male Paterson resident, an a 25-Year-Old Female Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center, seeking treatment for various non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
Based on the initial investigation,it was determined that the victims were standing in the area of East 23rd Street and 12th Avenue in Paterson when a unknown individual began shooting at the victims.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released as it becomes available.
