PLAINFIELD, NJ.- On Saturday, July 10, 2021 Acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo and Plainfield Police Officer In Charge David M. Guarino announced on Friday July 9, 2021 a Double Shooting that occurred in Plainfield has claimed the life of one individual and has left another hospitalized.
The Deceased victim has been identified as 24-year-old Jennifer Vorn of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
On Friday afternoon, July 9, 2021, Members of The Plainfield Police Department responded to the intersection of Rock Avenue and West Front Street in Plainfield, New Jersey on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, Police Officers located Vorn and a second adult male victim, both having sustained serious injuries, according to the preliminary investigation.
Ms. Vorn was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the second victim was immediately transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey for emergency treatment.
The investigation is being led by The Union County Homicide Task Force and assisted by Members of The Plainfield Police Department, Union County Police Ballistics Unit, and The Union County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Unit.
