PHILLIPSBURG, NJ.- On Friday July 9, 2021, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer announced that after a month long investigation into the distribution of Heroine in the Town of Phillipsburg, by The Phillipsburg Police Department in conjunction with The Warren County Prosecutor's Office, Mr. Shadon McDowell has been arrested and charged in connection and distribution of Heroine.
Heroine was purchased from Mr. McDowell on two separate occasions by a confidential informant. A search warrant was executed at the residence of Shadon McDowell at 274 Mercer Street in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, by The Phillipsburg Police Department with assistance of The Warren County Prosecutor's Office, Mansfield Police Department, Hackettstown Police Department, Pohatcong Police Department, and The New Jersey State Police.
McDowell was charged with One Count of Third Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroine; One Count of Second Degree Distribution of Heroine; and Two Counts of Second Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 500 Feet of A Public Park or Public Property.
Mr. McDowell was processed at the Phillipsburg Police Department and transported to The Warren County Jail pending a First Appearance in State Superior Court.
The Sentencing Exposure on Second Degree Charges is Five to Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison and on Third Degree Charges is Three to Five Years in New Jersey State Prison.
