Mahwah Homicide Under Investigation

BERGEN COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE INVESTIGATING A HOMICIDE THAT OCCURRED LAST NIGHT IN MAHWAH, NEW JERSEY

     " A 56-Year-Old Man Was Shot & Killed By Co-Worker In Mahwah, New Jersey On Monday Evening."

MAHWAH, NJ.- On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Major Crime Unit and The Mahwah Police Department are investigating a Homicide that occurred at 26 Avenue A in Mahwah, New Jersey. On Monday July 12, 2021 at approximately 9:44 p.m. Members of The Mahwah Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call, on a report of a shooting at 26 Avenue A in Mahwah.


     Upon arrival Police Officers located the victim, 56-Year-Old Phu Tsewang who succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.


      A co-worker of the victim, 23-Year-Old Milan Ghimire, was identified as the suspect in the Homicide. Ghimire was located in The Bronx, New York, and was subsequently apprehended by Members of The Emergency Services Unit of The New York City Police Department.



     An investigation is being conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The Mahwah Police Department under the direction of Chief Stephen Jaffe. No other information was available at the time of reporting.
