SECOND WEDNESDAY NIGHT SHOOTING IN PATERSON NEW JERSEY

PATERSON,NJ.- Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that at approximately 10:28 p.m. on Wednesday June 16, 2021, members of The Paterson Police Department, were notified that a 30-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph's Medical Center, by way of private vehicle for treatment of non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
Based on the investigation, it was determined that the victim was shot in the area of 17th Avenue and East 28th Street in Paterson, New Jersey. A potential crime scene was subsequently located in the area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
