Englewood New Jersey Man Charged

31 YEAR OLD MAN CHARGED WITH THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF TWO CHILDREN AGES SEVEN AND NINE

ENGLEWOOD, NJ.- On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that William Hernandez, 31, of Englewood, New Jersey has been Arrested and Charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault; Sexual Assault; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The Arrest is the result of an investigation by Members of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and Detectives of The Englewood Police Department.


     On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, The Englewood Police Department contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged Sexual Assault of a Child.


     As a result of the investigation, Detectives determined that Mr. Hernandez Sexually Assaulted to Children between the Ages of Seven and Nine on Multiple Occasions in Englewood, New Jersey.


     On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, Mr. Hernandez was Arrested in Paramus, New Jersey and Formally Charged with Three Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Two Counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault; and Two Counts of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.


     Mr. Hernandez was processed on the Charges and remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending his First Appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.


     If Convicted on The Charges, Mr. Hernandez will face the potential exposure of Life in New Jersey State Prison pursuant to The Jessica Lunsford Act.

West New York Man Charged

WEST NEW YORK MAN CHARGED WITH THE JANUARY 19 SEXUAL ASSAULT AT NEWARK AIRPORT

ELIZABETH, NJ.- Yesterday, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Port Authority Chief Security Officer announced that a 40-Year-Old West New York, New Jersey man has been Charged in connection with the Thursday, January 19, 2023 Sexual Assault in a Parking Garage at Newark Liberty International Airport.



     Tomassal Watkins, 40, of West New York has been Charged with First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; Second Degree Sexual Assault; Third Degree Aggravated Assault; and Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact. 


     On Thursday, January 19, 2023, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Members of The Port Authority Police Security Detail responded to The Conrac Parking Garage which is connected to Newark Liberty Airport on a report of a woman being Sexually Assaulted.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a woman who reported being Assaulted minutes earlier. She further reported while walking to her car she was attacked by an unknown man.


     Thanks to the quick response by Port Authority Police Officers they were able to locate and apprehend a man matching the description the woman provided to Officers on Airport Property. An exhaustive investigation and evidence collected by Members of The Union County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit in conjunction with Detectives of The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department with assistance by Members of The Union County Sheriff's Department Crime Scene Unit, where able to identify Mr. Watkins as the suspect and the individual responsible for The Sexual Assault of the Woman.


     Mr. Watkins was processed on the Charges and remanded to The Essex County Correctional Facility, where he has been scheduled for a Pretrial Detention Hearing in Union County State Superior Court on Friday, January 27, 2023.

Man Charged With Murder

A MAN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH TUESDAY MORNING'S SHOOTING DEATH OF A JERSEY CITY WOMAN

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Tuesday, in an apparent Domestic Dispute a 39-Year-Old man has been Arrested in connection with the Fatal Shooting of a 35-Year-Old Jersey City woman.



     On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that Lucas Cooper, 39, was taken into custody in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Charged with First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.


     On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at approximately 7:09 a.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a Third Floor Apartment located at 340 Bergen Avenue in Jersey City on a report of Shots Fired.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a woman, later identified as Temara King, 35, of Jersey City suffering from a Gunshot Wound. Ms. King was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center where she succumbed to her injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased at 8:06 a.m. 


     A swift moving investigation by Members of The Hudson County Homicide Task Force in conjunction with Members of The Jersey City Police Department, New Jersey State Police, The U.S. Marshals Service, The Lehigh County District Attorney's Office and The Allentown Police Department led to Mr. Cooper being identified as the Shooter and the individual responsible for the Death of Ms. King.


     Mr. King was quickly located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and was taken into custody. Mr. Cooper is currently detained in The Lehigh County Jail, pending extradition back to New Jersey.

PATERSON, NJ.- On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Acting Paterson Police Chief Bert Ribeiro reported that Detectives are continuing to investigate a Monday Night Shooting in Paterson that has left a man injured.


     On Monday, January 23, 2023, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Berkshire and Chamberlain Avenues in The City on a report of Shots being Fired.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene but no victims were located. Within minutes Police Officers were notified that a 25-Year-Old Paterson man had arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center seeking treatment for a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound.

Two Charged In Trenton Homicide

BROTHERS CHARGED IN THE DECEMBER 16, 2023 TRENTON HOMICIDE

TRENTON, NJ.- Today, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced that following an investigation into the January 16, 2023, Fatal Shooting of Donnell Williams, 29, of Trenton, Two Brothers have been Arrested and Charged with Murder and Multiple Weapons Offenses. 



     Leon Mack, 31, of Hamilton, and Prince Mack, 29, of Trenton have been each Charged with First Degree Murder; Burglary; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.


     Both men were taken into Custody on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Leon Mack's Hamilton, New Jersey home by Members of The Mercer County's Tactical Response Team with assistance from Members of The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and The Trenton and Hamilton Police Departments.



     On Monday, January 16, 2023, at approximately 4:07 p.m., Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to The 100 Block of Overlook Avenue in The City of Trenton on a report of an unresponsive man. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Donnell Williams, 29, deceased inside his residence on the living room floor from an apparent Gunshot Wound. 


     The Mack Brothers were processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Mercer County Correctional Facility. The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office has Filed Pretrial Detention Motions to have the brothers detained pending the adjudication of the Charges filed against them.

CARLSTADT, NJ.- On Saturday, January 21, 2023, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced following anbeing Struck  investigation by Members of The Carlstadt Police Department and The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. Justinian Cuevasmetemi, 60, of Passaic, New Jersey, has been Arrest and Charged in connection with the Fatal Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Accident that claimed the Life of a 61-Year-Old Secaucus, New Jersey woman.


     On Friday, January 20, 2023, at approximately 10:19 p.m., Members of The Carlstadt Police Department responded to Hoboken Road in Carlstadt on a report of a Pedestrian being Struck by a Motor Vehicle. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a woman, later identified as Deborah Peko-Lillis, 61, of Secaucus, New Jersey having sustained Serious Injuries. Ms Peko-Lillis was immediately transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased.


     An initial investigation by Members of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in conjunction with The Carlstadt Police Department quickly determined that Mr. Cuevasmetemi was operating a 2017 Toyota RAV-4 when he Struck Ms. Pekp-Lillis while she was Crossing Hoboken Road, and then Fleeing the Scene. 


     On Saturday, January 21, 2023, Mr. Cuevasmetemi was located and Arrested on Charges of Second Degree Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident Resulting in Death; Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of an Injured Person; and Multiple Motor Vehicle Summonses.


     Mr. Cuevasmetemi was processed on the Charges and Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending his First Appearance in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court.

IRVINGTON, NJ.- On Thursday, January 19, 2023, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers jointly announced that on Wednesday Night, January 18, 2023, Jonathan Quallis, 32, was Arrested and Charged in the Shooting Death of Ibn Vincent, 37, of Irvington, New Jersey.



     On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at approximately 7:36 p.m., Members of The Irvington Police Department responded to The 400 Block of Union Avenue on a report of a Shooting.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Ibn Vincent, 37, of Irvington having succumbed to multiple Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Vincent was subsequently pronounced deceased at 7:53 p.m., Wednesday Night.


     A short time later, Jonathan Quallis was Arrested and Charged with First Degree Aggravated Manslaughter; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Quallis was processed on the Charges and was remanded to The Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, New Jersey.

Irvington Homicide Investigation

ESSEX COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE CONTINUING THEIR INVESTIGATION INTO AN EARLY MORNING HOMICIDE

     " Authorities Are Investigating Today's Early Morning Fatal Stabbing Of Haleem Youngblood In Irvington, New Jersey."

IRVINGTON, NJ.- Today, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens,II and Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers announced that Detectives of The Essex County Homicide Task Force in conjunction with The Irvington Police Department are actively investigating the Fatal Stabbing of a 35-Year-Old Irvington, New Jersey man.


     On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at approximately 2:03 a.m., Members of The Irvington Police Department responded to a residence located on The 100 Block of Tichenor Terrace on a report of a Stabbing Incident. Upon arrival, Police Officers found an unresponsive man, later identified as Haleem Youngblood, 35, who had succumbed to apparent Stab Wound. Mr. Youngblood was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene at 3:06 a.m.

HACKENSACK, NJ.- On Friday, January 13, 2023, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that a Bergen County Juvenile was Arrested on Charges of Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography. The Arrest is the result of investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love. 


     On Thursday, January 12, 2023, Members of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a Court Authorized Search Warrant at the Juvenile's Residence at the conclusion of a Month's Long Internet Child Pornography Investigation.


     The investigation determined that the Juvenile used the internet to Download, View, Possess, and Distribute Digital Files depicting Nude or Sexually Explicit Prepubescent or Pubescent Children.


     During the Execution of The Search Warrant, the Juvenile was taken into custody on Thursday, January 12, 2023 and Charged as a Juvenile Delinquent on Charges of Second Degree Distribution of Child Pornography; and Third Degree Possession of Child Pornography.


     The teen was processed on the Offenses and released to his Guardian pending his First Appearance in The Chancery Division of Family Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- A West New York High School Girls Basketball Coach has Charged after an incident that occurred on January 27, 2022, at The Memorial High School in Jersey City, New Jersey.



     On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced on Monday, January 9, 2023, The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit Arrested and Charged a High School Basketball Coach after he entered the Girls Locker Room and inappropriately sent Messages to Three Teen Girls on Social Media.


     Ariel Alava, 41, of West New York, New Jersey has been Charged with One Count of Fourth Degree Attempted Invasion of Privacy; and Three Counts of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mr. Alava was Arrested at his home in West New York and was processed on the offenses and lodged in The Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his First Appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court.


     Hudson County Authorities reported that at the conclusion of an investigation, Detectives determined that Mr. Alava entered the Girls Locker Room following a Game that was played on January 27, 2022. Two 15-Year-Old Memorial High School Girls and a former 17-Year-Old Girl also reported receiving inappropriate messages on Social Media from Mr. Alava on various dates between August and October of 2022. 


     Mr. Alava who was employed as a Paraprofessional with The West New York Board Of Education has since been removed from his position with the School District.

Arrests Made In Paterson Homicide

THREE CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH THE OCTOBER 1 2022 PATERSON NEW JERSEY HOMICIDE

     2 Paterson Men & A Totowa Woman Have Been Charged With Murder & Weapons Offenses In The October 1, 2022 Shooting Death Of Briheem Nero."

PATERSON, NJ.- On Thursday, January 13, 2023, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Acting Paterson Police Chief Bert Ribeiro jointly announced that based upon an investigation by Detectives of The Paterson Police Department in conjunction with Members of The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office resulted in Two Paterson men and a Totowa woman have been Charged with The Shooting Death of a 42-Year-Old Paterson man.



     Shaquan Winstead, 28, and David Armfield, 31, both of Paterson, New Jersey have each been Charged with First Degree Murder; First Degree Attempted Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Second Degree Certain Persons not to Possess Weapons. Stephanie French, 26, of Totowa, New Jersey has been Charged with Third Degree Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution.



     On October 1, 2022, at approximately 10:36 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Van Houten and Summer Streets in Paterson on a report of a Shooting.



     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene, but no victims were discovered. Within minutes Police Officers were notified that Two Gunshot Victims had arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center by way of a private vehicle for treatment. The man, later identified as Briheem Nero, 42, of Paterson succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later. The second victim a 49-Year-Old Paterson Woman was hospitalized with a Gunshot Wound to her arm.


     The subsequent investigation determined that Mr Winstead and Mr. Armfield remain in Custody in The Passaic County Jail in Paterson, New Jersey. Ms French was released on a Summons pending her First appearance in The Passaic County Central Judicial Processing Court. Winstead and Armfield will be scheduled for a Pretrial Detention Hearing.


     If both are Convicted on the Charges Mr. Winstead and Mr. Armfield will face the potential of Life in New Jersey State Prison. Ms. French if Convicted will face the maximum of 5 years in New Jersey State Prison.

NEWARK, NJ.- On Monday, January 16, 2023, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II announced that Detectives of The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force and Detectives of The Newark Police Department are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the Shooting Death of a Belleville, New Jersey man.


     On Monday, January 16, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to The 300 Block of North 7th Street in Newark on a report of a Shooting.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Omar Rivera, 38, of Belleville, New Jersey suffering from apparent Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Rivera was immediately transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased at 4:00 a.m., this morning.

WOODBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Middlesex County Authorities are continuing their investigation into a Saturday afternoon Shooting in Woodbridge that left a Woman and a Man Suffering from Gunshot Wounds.


     On Saturday, January 14, 2023, at approximately 5:34 p.m., Members of The Woodbridge Police Department responded to the area of South Iman Avenue and Route 1 North on a report of a Shooting involving Two Motor Vehicles. 


     Within minutes Members of The Linden Police Department found two individuals a Pregnant Woman and a Man both having sustained Gunshot Wounds inside a vehicle in the Parking Lot of The Home Depot located on Route 1 North in Linden, New Jersey. Both individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.


     The second vehicle that was Struck by Gunfire was located by Members Of The Woodbridge Township Police Department in The Sansone Toyota Dealership located on Route 1 in Woodbridge, New Jersey. There were no injuries reported with the second vehicle.


     No Arrests have been made and the investigation remains active and ongoing. Camden Double Shooting Investigation

CAMDEN, NJ.- On Sunday, January 8, 2023, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriquez jointly announced that Police are actively investigating a Double Shooting in Camden City that has Claimed the life of a man and has left a second man hospitalized.


     On Saturday, January 7, 2023, at approximately 8:46 p.m., Members of The Camden County Metro Police Department responded to Multiple Shotspotter Activation located on The 3200 Block of Saunders Avenue in The City. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered two men suffering from Gunshot Wounds. Both men were immediately transported to Cooper University Medical Center where one man, later identified as Eric Cecilia, 33, of Leesburg, New Jersey succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased at 9:53 p.m. The second man, a 20-Year-Old Camden, New Jersey man remains hospitalized in stable condition.


     No Arrests have been made and the investigation remains active and ongoing. NEWARK, NJ.- Essex County Authorities are continuing to investigate the Fatal Shooting of Khalif McDaniel that occurred early Friday Morning in the area of South Orange Avenue and South 20th Street in Newark, New Jersey.


     On Friday, January 6, 2023, at approximately 12:22 a.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to The 500 Block of South Orange Avenue and South 20th Street in Newark on a report of a Shooting.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a man, later identified as Khalif McDaniel, 33, of Newark suffering from multiple Guns Wounds. Mr. McDaniel was immediately transported to University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later.

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Monday, January 9, 2023, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that on Friday, January 6, 2023, a Hudson County Superior Court Judge Sentenced a Hudson County High School Teacher to New Jersey State Prison for the Sexual Assault of Two Female Students back in 2004 to 2019.



      Francisco Realpe, 46, of Hoboken, New Jersey has been Sentenced to Two Four Year Terms of imprisonment for the Sexual Assaults of Two Seventeen Year Old Female Students. Both Sentences will run concurrently with each other. Mr. Realpe will also be subject to Megan's Law Registration Requirements. He will also be placed on Parole Supervision for Life. 


     The Honorable Carlo Abad ordered Mr. Realpe to Forfeit current and future public employment and placed Two Permanent Restraining Orders against Mr. Realpe.


     In November of 2019, the First Girl reported being Sexually Assaulted while she was a Student and Mr. Realpe was Teacher at Dickinson High School in Jersey City, New Jersey. After Mr. Realpe's Arrest a Second Girl came forward and reported being Sexually Assaulted by Realpe back in 2004 while she Student at Union Hill High School in Union City, New Jersey.

Piscataway Fatal Collision Investigation

PISCATAWAY, NJ.- A single motor vehicle crash, last night in Piscataway Township, New Jersey has claimed the life of a 17-Year-Old Girl.


     On Monday, January 2, 2023, at approximately 7:41 p.m., Members of The Piscataway Township Police Department responded to the area of South Randolphville Road and Centennial Avenue in The Township on a report of a motor vehicle crash.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a motor vehicle that had overturned after striking a utility pole. The driver of the vehicle, a 17-Year-Old Girl from Piscataway Township was immediately transported to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased.

Camden Man Charged

CAMDEN CITY MAN CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER IN THE EARLY NEW YEARS MORNING STABBING

CAMDEN, NJ.- On Sunday, January 1, 2023, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez jointly announced that a Camden City, New Jersey man has been Arrested and Charged in the Fatal Stabbing of a 16-Year-Old Boy early yesterday morning.


     On Sunday, January 1, 2023, at approximately 2:54 a.m., Members of The Camden County Police Department responded to The 3000 Block of Mount Ephriam Avenue on a report of a individual being Stabbed.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 16-Year-Old Boy suffering from apparent Stab Wounds. The Boy was immediately transported to Cooper University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.


     A swift moving investigation by Members of The Camden County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit in conjunction with Detectives of The Camden County Police Department were able to identify Jonathan Flores-Chila as the Suspect and the individual responsible for the Death of the Boy.


     As a result of the investigation Mr. Flores-Chila was Arrested and Charged with First Degree Aggravated Manslaughter; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Upon his release from the hospital Mr. Flores-Chila will be transferred to The Camden County Correctional Facility.

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Today, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that Members of The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit have Arrested a 43-Year-Old Jersey City man in connection with the Fatal Shooting of Khaliq Lockett that occurred on Sunday, December 25, 2022.


     Eddie Webb, 43, of Jersey City, New Jersey has been Charged with First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Mr. Webb was Arrested on Friday, December 30, 2022, at his place of employment.


     Mr. Webb was processed on the Charges and remanded to The Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his First Appearance and Detention Hearing.



     On Sunday, December 25, 2022, at approximately 6:04 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to the area of Communipaw and Crescent Avenues on a report of a man being Shot.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Khaliq Lockett, 46, of Jersey City, New Jersey suffering from a Gunshot Wound to his Chest. Mr. Lockett was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later.


     A swift moving investigation by Members of The Hudson County Homicide Unit in conjunction with Detectives of The Jersey City Police Department were able to identify Mr. Webb as a Suspect and the individual responsible for The Shooting Death of Mr. Lockett.

Clifton Man Charged In Fatal Stabbing

CLIFTON NEW JERSEY MAN CHARGED IN THE FATAL STABBING OF HIS COUSIN ON NEW YEAR'S EVE

CLIFTON, NJ.- On Sunday, January 1, 2023, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Clifton Police Chief Thomas Rinaldi jointly announced that a 25-Year-Old Clifton man has been Charged with Murder and Weapons Offenses in The New Year's Eve Fatal Stabbing of his Cousin.


     On Saturday, December 31, 2022, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Members of The Clifton Police Department responded to a residence located at 25 Van Cleve Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey on a report of an individual Bleeding.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a man, later identified as Waleed Ramadan, 22, of Clifton lying on the ground suffering from multiple Stab Wounds to his Neck and Face. Mr. Ramadan was immediately transported to Saint Mary's Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later.



     An ensuing investigation by Members of The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Investigations Unit in conjunction with Detectives from The Clifton Police Department determined that the Mr. Ramadan's Cousin Motasem Ramadan, 25, of Clifton Stabbed Mr. Ramadan multiple times during an altercation.


     Motasem Ramadan was Arrested after a brief struggle with Police Officers and Charged with First Degree Murder; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; Third Degree Resisting Arrest; and Third Degree Assault on a Police Officer.


     Mr. Ramadan was processed on the Charges and remanded to The Passaic County Jail in Paterson, New Jersey pending his First Appearance and Detention Hearing which will be held in Passaic County State Superior Court.


     If Convicted on the Charges Motasem Ramadan will face the potential of Life in New Jersey State Prison.

Stephens, II, announced that Members of The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide/Major Crimes Unit are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the Fatal Shooting of a 45-Year-Old Newark man that occurred yesterday morning, in The City of Newark, New Jersey.


     On Sunday, January 1, 2023, at approximately 7:51 a.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to The 100 Block of Rose Terrace in Newark on a report of a potential Shooting.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a man, later identified as Keith Holland, 45, of Newark, New Jersey unresponsive and having succumbed to multiple Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Holland was pronounced deceased at the scene at 8:14 A.M.
