Newark Fatal Shooting Investigation

ESSEX COUNTY AUTHORITIES CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE A NEW YEAR'S DAY FATAL SHOOTING

     " Police Investigating Yesterday Day's Fatal Shooting Of Keith Holland Of Newark, New Jersey."

NEWARK, NJ.- On Sunday, January 1, 2023, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, announced that Members of The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide/Major Crimes Unit are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the Fatal Shooting of a 45-Year-Old Newark man that occurred yesterday morning, in The City of Newark, New Jersey.

     On Sunday, January 1, 2023, at approximately 7:51 a.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to The 100 Block of Rose Terrace in Newark on a report of a potential Shooting.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a man, later identified as Keith Holland, 45, of Newark, New Jersey unresponsive and having succumbed to multiple Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Holland was pronounced deceased at the scene at 8:14 A.M.
