Trenton Homicide Investigation

MERCER COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE INVESTIGATING AN EARLY SUNDAY MORNING SHOOTING IN TRENTON

     " An Early Sunday Morning Shooting In Trenton Has Left A Trenton Man Dead & Another Man Hospitalized."

TRENTON, NJ.- On Sunday, May 22, 2022 Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced, at approximately 1:00 a.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022, Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to The 100 Block of West Hanover Street on a Multi Shot Spotter Activation.




     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a male victim, later identified as Ali Abdullah, 25, of Trenton, New Jersey, lying on the sidewalk suffering from a Gunshot Wound. Mr. Abdullah was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased.


     While Police Officers were investigating on the scene, they were notified that a second 30-Year-Old male victim arrived at Capital Health Regional Medical Center by way of private vehicle, seeking treatment for a Gunshot Wound to his shoulder.


     Investigators determined the Shooting occurred in a State of New Jersey Government parking lot located 142 West Hanover Street. Numerous shell casings were located and two vehicles, one having been struck by Gunfire at the scene.

PATERSON, NJ.- On Saturday, May 21, 2022 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at approximately 1:42 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of North 3rd Street and Temple Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of shots fired.   


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a 20-Year-Old Paterson man who had sustained a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available once released by authorities.

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Friday, May 20, 2022 Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced on Thursday, May 19, 2022, a Jersey City, New Jersey Airbnb Host was found Guilty by a Hudson County Jury of Assaulting a man who was renting an apartment from him in 2019.


     Alexandre Saunders, 30, of Jersey City, New Jersey was Convicted of Third Degree Aggravated Assault, by a Jury following a five day trial before the Honorable Patrick Arre, J.S.C. The Jury found Saunders Not Guilty of Weapons Offenses and a Second Aggravated Assault Charge.


     On Wednesday, December 25, 2019, Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a home on Pavonia Avenue on reports of an aggravated assault. Upon Arrival, Police Officers found a 35-Year-Old man with a Serious Injury to his right ear. 


     The ensuing investigation determined Mr. Saunders was renting a room to the victim through Airbnb. Following a verbal dispute over payment, Mr. Saunders lunged at the victim and bit a portion of his ear off.

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit Arrested a 22-Year-Old man in connection with the November 3, 2021 Hit & Run Crash that Killed Phillip Delancy.


     Kristopher Khusial, of Jersey City, New Jersey was Charged with Second Degree Knowingly Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Collision Resulting in Death; and Third Degree Endangering an Injured Person. Mr. Khusial was Arrested without incident at The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City and released on a summons pending his first court appearance on Monday, June 20, 2022.


     On Tuesday, November 3, 2021, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to the area of 740 Route 440 in Jersey City on reports of a Pedestrian Stuck.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found the victim, later identified as Phillip Delancy, 36, of Jersey City, New Jersey, having sustained Life-Threatening Injuries in the northbound lane of the roadway. Mr. Delancy was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 10:25 p.m. The vehicle involved in the collision had left the scene.

PATERSON, NJ.- On Monday, May 16, 2022 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at approximately 3:42 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Belle Avenue and Hopper Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of shots fired. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene and an 18- Year-Old Clifton, New Jersey woman, seated in car, who sustained a non-life threatening Gunshot Wound. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment.


     Based on the initial investigation, the woman was struck by Gunfire in the area of Belle Avenue and Hopper Street in Paterson, New Jersey. The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.

Arrest Made In Burlington City Homicide

ARREST HAS BEEN MADE IN THE SHOOTING DEATH OF A MAN EARLY THURSDAY MORNING

BURLINGTON CITY, NJ.- On Saturday, May 14, 2022, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and City of Burlington Police Chief John Fine announced that a 35-Year-Old Burlington City man has been Charged with the Shooting Death of a Willingboro, New Jersey man as he was sitting in a parked car on Linden Avenue earlier this week.



     Bryant Williams, 35, of Burlington City has been Charged with First Degree Murder; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.


     Mr. Williams was apprehended Friday night, May 13, 2022, at approximately 8:00 p.m. by City of Burlington Patrol Officers who observed him walking in the area of East Broad and Lawrence Streets. Williams has lodged in The Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly pending a Detention Hearing in Burlington County Superior Court next week.


     On Thursday, May 12, 2022, at approximately 3:00 a.m., while on patrol, Members of The Burlington City Police Department heard Gunshots and responded to The 500 Block of Linden Avenue.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found Dominick Santiago, 40, of Willingboro in the driver’s seat of an SUV suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Santiago was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased at 5:28 a.m.

Maple Shade Homicide Investigation

BURLINGTON COUNTY AUTHORITIES ACTIVELY INVESTIGATING THE DEATH OF A WOMAN

MAPLE SHADE, NJ.- On Wednesday, May 11, 2022 Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Maple Shade Police Chief Christopher J. Fletcher announced that a homicide investigation is underway after the body of a woman was found inside a room at the Bel-Air Motor Lodge in Maple Shade, New Jersey.



     The investigation began on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at approximately 11:30 a.m. after Members of The Maple Shade Police Department responded to The Bel-Air Motel in The 2800 Block of Route 73 on a report of an Unresponsive woman.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a woman deceased inside a room the victim of an apparent Gunshot Wound. The victim’s name is being withheld until her identity is confirmed and her family has been informed about the crime.


     An autopsy will be performed by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood to determine the Cause and Manner of Death.

Two Teens Charged With Sexual Assault

ARRESTS MADE IN LAST TUESDAY'S SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A WOMAN ON MORRISTOWN RECREATION TRAIL

MORRISTOWN, NJ.- On Friday, May 6, 2022 Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Chief of Detectives Christoph K. Kimker, Morris County Sheriff James Gannon, Morristown Police Chief Darnell Richardson, and Morris Township Police Chief Mark DiCarlo announced that Two Men have been Arrested and Charged in connection with an alleged Sexual Assault that occurred in the afternoon of Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in Morristown, New Jersey.


     On Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at approximately 3:41 p.m., on the Traction Line Recreation Trail in Morristown, Two Males approached a female and asked for money. When the female victim did not provide money, one of the males pushed the victim to the ground and Sexually Assaulted her while the other male stood nearby. It has been alleged that that male who pushed the victim to the ground was armed with a rock at the time he Sexually Assaulted her. Thereafter, both suspects fled the area. Both suspects were unknown to the victim.


     On Friday, May 6, 2022, a 17-Year-Old Juvenile male and an adult, Lizandro Osorio-Mejia, 18, were Arrested in connection with the above Sexual Assault. It should be noted that these Arrests were effectuated within hours of the public release of identifying information by the authorities.


     The Juvenile was Charged with One Count of First Degree Robbery; One Count of Second Degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery; and Fourth Degree Theft.


     Mr. Osorio-Mejia was Arrested and Charged with: Two Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; One Count of Second Degree Sexual Assault; Two Counts of Third Degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact; One Count of Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact; One Count of First Degree Robbery; One Count of Second Degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery; One Count of Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; One Count of Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; One Count of Third Degree Terroristic Threats; One Count of Third Degree Aggravated Assault; and One Count of Fourth Degree.

WAYNE, NJ.- On Monday, May 9, 2022 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Wayne Chief of Police Jack McNiff announced that on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Members of The Wayne Police Department responded to a residence in Wayne, New Jersey on a report that the remains of a Human Fetus had been discovered. 



     The residents discovered the remains inside a storage container in their basement, and contacted the authorities. The Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the remains, and an autopsy will be conducted as part of the investigation.


     Authorities are looking for the mother, who will face potential charges in this incident.

Bergen County Man Charged

HACKENSACK NEW JERSEY MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION TO A STRING OF ARMED ROBBERIES

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Friday, May 6, 2022 Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that Local Municipal Law Enforcement Departments and The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office have Charged a Bergen County, New Jersey man in connection with a String of Armed Robberies that occurred throughout Hudson County last week.


     Five Armed Robberies were reported between the late night hours of Friday, April 29, 2022 and the early morning hours of Saturday, April 30, 2022. In each incident, a handgun was brandished and money was demanded from the clerks working at a businesses.



     A joint investigation by The Municipal Police Departments, with assistance from The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Gang Task Force, resulted in the Arrest of Joel Krecz, 35, of Hackensack, New Jersey. Mr. Krecz has been identified as the Suspect Responsible for at least Five Armed Robberies in Jersey City, Secaucus, Union City and Hoboken. To date, Mr. Krecz has been Charged with Multiple Counts of Robbery and various Weapons and Theft Offenses in connection with:


     The robbery of a store on Route 440 in Jersey City on Friday, April 29, 2022. The robbery of a liquor store on Summit Avenue in Union City on Saturday, April 30, 2022. The robbery of a gas station on Route 3 in Secaucus on Saturday, April 30, 2022. The robbery of a business on Paterson Plank Road in Union City on Saturday, April 30, 2022. The robbery of a liquor store on Willow Avenue in Hoboken on Saturday, April 30, 2022.


     Mr. Krecz was Arrested in Jersey City, while in possession of a handgun, on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. He is being held at The Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny pending his first court appearance, which was tentatively scheduled for Yesterday, May 9, 2022.


     The Robbery of a store on Kennedy Boulevard in North Bergen on Friday, April 8, 2022, is currently being investigated. Additional Arrests and Charges are expected. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that on May 5, 2022, at approximately 10:34 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the areas of Ellison and Van Houten and Fair and Paterson Streets in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of Shots Fired. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene and a 28-Year-Old Paterson man who had sustained Multiple Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wounds. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment.


     The initial investigation determined that the victim was in the area of Summer Street and Hamilton Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey when he was struck by Gunfire.

Indictment In Double Homicide

FREEHOLD, NJ.- On Thursday, May 5, 2022, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey announced that a Grand Jury sitting in Monmouth County, New Jersey has returned against Two Bayshore men in the January 19, 2022 Neptune City Double Homicide.


     The Grand Jury returned the indictment Charging both Gabriel J. Braithwaite, 19, of Keansburg, New Jersey and Jeron D. Dearin, 22, of Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey with Two Counts of First Degree Murder; First Degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder; Two Counts of Second Degree Weapons Offenses; and Third Degree Hindering Apprehension in connection with the Shooting Deaths of Samore Edwards, 18, of Plainfield, New Jersey and Isaiah Williams, 19, of New Brunswick, New Jersey.


     On Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Members of The Neptune Township Police Department responded to The 1300 Block of Washington Avenue on a report of a Shooting.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered two victims, later identified as Samore Edwards and Isaiah Williams both having sustained Multiple Gunshot Wounds in a parked car. Ms. Edwards was pronounced deceased at the scene. Mr. Williams was immediately transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center were he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Guzman announced that on May 4, 2022, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Members of The Passaic Police Department responded to the area of Passaic Street and 4th Street in Passaic, New Jersey on a report of a shooting. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene and a 22-Year-Old Paterson, New Jersey man who reported he had been driving in the area of Passaic and 4th Streets in Passaic, New Jersey when his motor vehicle was struck by gunfire. The man was not struck or injured during the Shooting.


     Detectives continue to actively investigate the circumstances surrounding the Shooting.

Police Officer Charged

PHILLIPSBURG NEW JERSEY POLICE OFFICER CHARGED AFTER CHILD PORNOGRAPHY INVESTIGATION

     " Gary A. Ricker, Jr. Has Been Charged With Second & Third Degree Child Endangerment For The Possession & Distribution Of Child Pornography."

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ.- In an ultimate betrayal of Public Trust, a Phillipsburg, New Jersey Police Officer has been Charged with Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography.


     On January 31, 2022, The Warren County Prosecutor's Office received a Cyber Tip from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual in The Phillipsburg, New Jersey area had Distributed Child Sexual Abuse Material through the Messaging Application KIK. Further investigation by Detectives identified the perpetrator as Phillipsburg Police Officer Gary A. Ricker, Jr..



     On February 24, 2022, Detectives executed a Court Authorized Search Warrant on the home of Officer Ricker. Ricker was found to be in Possession of Thirty-Nine Files, both Pictures and Videos containing Images of Pre-Pubescent and Pubescent Children engaged in Sexual Situations.


     Officer Ricker was Charged accordingly with Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. 



     Officer Ricker was processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Morris County Jail pending his First Appearance in Warren County Superior Court.


     If Convicted on the offenses. Officer Ricker could face the potential Sentencing Exposure of up to Ten Years in New Jersey State Prison.

PATERSON, NJ.- On Wednesday, May 4, 2022 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the Fatal Shooting of a 25-Year-Old Paterson man.


     On Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at approximately 9:17 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Auburn and Fair Streets in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of a man being shot. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a victim, later identified as Nasir Davis, 25, of Paterson inside a vehicle suffering from a Gunshot Wound.


     Mr. Davis was immediately transported Saint Joseph's University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury, and was pronounced deceased at 9:45 p.m.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available once released by authorities.

River Edge New Jersey Woman Charged

RIVER EDGE WOMAN CHARGED IN THE BEATING DEATH OF A THREE MONTH OLD INFANT

RIVER EDGE, NJ.- On Tuesday, May 3, 2022 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the Arrest of Sun Min Grace Yoo Chan, 36, of River Edge, New Jersey on Charges of Murder; Aggravated Assault, and Child Endangerment.   


     The Arrest is the result of an investigation by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and The River Edge Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Walker.


     On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at approximately 7:30 A.M., Members of The River Edge Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call at a residence on a report an infant not breathing. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 3-Month-Old unresponsive male infant. The child was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, where the Infant succumbed to his injures, and was pronounced deceased on April 1, 2022. 


     An investigation conducted by The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and The River Edge Police Department determined that Ms. Yoo Chan Assaulted the Infant on multiple occasions in the past and, on March 29, 2022, ultimately caused his Death.


     On Tuesday, May 3, 2022, Ms. Yoo Chan was Arrested and Charged with First Degree Murder; Second Degree Aggravated Assault; and Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Ms. Yoo Chan was remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending her first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

Trenton Teenager Charged

TRENTON, NJ.- On Monday, May 2, 2022 Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced that a Trenton, New Jersey Teenager has been Arrested and Charged for the March, 31, 2022 Shooting Death of a 16- Year-Old that occurred on Liberty Street in Trenton, New Jersey.


     The 14-Year-Old Trenton boy has been Charged with Second Degree Reckless Manslaughter; and Second Degree Providing False Information to Law Enforcement. The juvenile was Arrested without incident on Friday, April 29, 2022. The Boy was released on an Electronic Monitoring Bracelet to a shelter with 24-hour supervision.


     The Charges stem from the culmination of an investigation by The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and The Trenton Police Department. 


     At approximately 9:00 p.m. on March 31, 2022, Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to a residence in The 100 block of Liberty Street on the report of a teenager shot. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found 16-Year-Old Tahaad Goss lying on the basement stairs suffering a gunshot wound to the face. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There were other teenagers present in the house and a gun was found in the basement.

Three Charged With Fraud

THREE JERSEY CITY MEN CHARGED IN INSURANCE FRAUD SCHEME

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Tuesday, April 26, 2022 Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez Announced that Three Jersey City residents were Arrested by Members of The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Insurance Fraud Unit on Charges relating to the filing of Fictitious Insurance Claims on an automobile that was allegedly being used for the Ridesharing Apps Lyft and Uber.


     Muhammad Khan, 21, Haq Khan, 24, and Yasir Raza, 34, have each been Charged with One Count of Third Degree Insurance Fraud; and Third Degree Conspiracy to Commit Insurance Fraud.


     The men were Arrested without incident at The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City, New Jersey. The Three were released on summonses pending their First Court Appearance which is currently scheduled on Thursday, May 5, 2022.


     The investigation determined that the three individuals attempted to defraud Ridesharing Companies by attempting to collect insurance proceeds for Fictitious Accidents they claimed to have had in a 2018 Tesla. However, the Tesla was previously damaged in an accident and determined by an insurance company to be a total loss.

Two Charged In Trenton Homicide

TWO CHARGED IN MARCH 1, 2022 TRENTON DOUBLE SHOOTING THAT LEFT ONE DEAD AND ONE INJURED

TRENTON, NJ.- On Thursday, April 28, 2022 Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced that an investigation conducted by The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and The Trenton Police Department has resulted in Charges being filed against Two Trenton residents in connection to last month’s Double Shooting that resulted in the Death of Shimon Nesmith Jr.


     Quashawn Hightower, 23, and Desire Knighton, 21, are each Charged with Murder; Attempted Murder; Conspiracy to Commit Murder; Multiple Counts of Aggravated Assault; and Multiple Weapons Offenses. Both Hightower and Knighton are currently incarcerated in Pennsylvania on a Weapons Charge. The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office will file motions to detain both defendants pending trial.


     On March 1, 2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to a Shot Spotter Activation for Multiple Gunshots Fired in 1100 block of New Willow Street in Trenton, New Jersey. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a vehicle that had crashed into the side of 931 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, at The Life in the Word Outreach Ministry. The vehicle was heavily damaged and appeared to have numerous bullet holes. Mr. Nesmith, 19, of Trenton, was on scene suffering from Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Nesmith was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later. A 21- Year-Old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the face and was transported to the hospital by way of private vehicle.

Clifton New Jersey Man Charged

42 YEAR OLD CLIFTON MAN CHARGED WITH THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF TWO GIRLS UNDER THE AGE OF THIRTEEN

PATERSON, NJ.- On Thursday, April 28, 2022 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announced the Arrest of Pedro Perez-Guadalupe, 42, of Clifton, New Jersey. Mr. Perez-Guadalupe was Arrested on Thursday, April 27, 2022, after the conclusion of an investigation conducted by The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.



     Mr. Perez-Guadalupe has been Charged with Two Counts of First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; One Count of Second Degree Sexual Assault; One Count of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; One Count of First Degree Kidnapping; and One Count of Second Degree Hindering Apprehension regarding the assault of one child under the age of Thirteen. Mr. Perez-Guadalupe is also Charged with One Count of Second Degree Sexual Assault; and One Count of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for engaging in sexual acts with a second child under the age of Thirteen.


     On April 6, 2022, The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was contacted by School Staff Members to report that a child disclosed being Sexually Assaulted in the past by the Mr. Perez-Guadalupe. Prosecutor’s Office Detectives were able to interview multiple witnesses including an alleged victim who disclosed being Sexually Assaulted by Mr. Perez-Guadalupe on multiple occasions at a residence in Passaic, New Jersey.  During the investigation it was also discovered that a second child disclosed being Sexually Assaulted by Mr. Perez-Guadalupe on multiple occasions at a residence in Passaic, New Jersey.  As a result of the investigation, Mr. Perez-Guadalupe was Charged accordingly.


     Mr. Perez-Guadalupe is presently detained at The Passaic County Jail. The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion for Pretrial Detention which will be heard before a Superior Court Judge early next week.

Boyfriend Charged With Murder

PALMYRA, NJ.- On Monday, April 25, 2022 Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Palmyra Police Chief Meghan Campbell announced that a former boyfriend has been Charged with Killing a 28-Year-Old woman who was found Fatally Shot last week in the parking lot of a Self-Service Car Wash in the First Block of Filmore Street in Palmyra, New Jersey.



     Antonio Burke, 32, of the 2000 Block of Harbor Drive in Palmyra, New Jersey has been Charged with First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Handgun for an Unlawful Purpose; Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Third Degree Endangering an Injured Victim.


     Mr. Burke was taken into custody early Monday morning following a traffic stop in Dallas, Texas, where he will face a court appearance today. The criminal complaint against him was signed last week.


     The investigation began on April 18, 2022, at approximately 10:45 p.m., after Members of The Palmyra Police Department responded to The Hot Wet & Wax Car Wash at approximately 10:45 p.m., for a report of an Unconscious Female who was Bleeding.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered the body of Alicia Stilley of Cinnaminson, New Jersey on the ground near her vehicle. An autopsy performed by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood concluded that Ms. Stilley succumbed to injuries from a Gunshot Wound to the Chest.


     Detectives continue investigate the motive for the shooting.

PATERSON, NJ.- On Friday, April 22, 2022 Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced on April 22, 2022, at approximately 3:12 a.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 16th Avenue and Carroll Street in Paterson, New Jersey after a report of shots fired. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene but did not find a victim. A short time later, Members of The Paterson Police Department located a 29-Year-Old Paterson man who had sustained a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available once released once by authorities.
