PATERSON, NJ.- On Friday, May 6, 2022, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that on May 5, 2022, at approximately 10:34 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to the areas of Ellison and Van Houten and Fair and Paterson Streets in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of Shots Fired.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a potential crime scene and a 28-Year-Old Paterson man who had sustained Multiple Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wounds. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for treatment.
The initial investigation determined that the victim was in the area of Summer Street and Hamilton Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey when he was struck by Gunfire.
Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the Shooting. More information may become available once released by authorities.
