Detectives Actively Investigating The Shooting Death Of A Man Early Saturday Morning In Clifton

CLIFTON, NJ.- Detectives of the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office and the Clifton Police Department are actively investigating the shooting death of a man who was found early this morning dead inside a car in a residential neighborhood in Clifton, New Jersey.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Saturday, July 20, 2024, shortly after 12:00 a.m., members of the Clifton Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting gunfire in the area of Lakeview and Merselis Avenues in Clifton.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man dead inside a Honda CRV from an apparent gunshot wound to his head. 

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time. More information may become available once released by authorities.
