Two Charged In Bayonne Undercover Narcotics Investigation

Hudson County Undercover Investigation, Nets Two Arrests Cocaine, Pills, Weed, & Over $3,000 In Cash

BAYONNE, NJ.- Last Tuesday, following an undercover probe into narcotics distribution in the Bayonne, New Jersey area, two people were taken into custody and formally charged with multiple first, second, and third-degree narcotics offenses.


     On Thursday, June 20, 2024, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported, that on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, two individuals were arrested in Bayonne, New Jersey, following an investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Force and the Bayonne Police Department.



     During the investigation, 180 grams of cocaine, more than three pounds of marijuana, multiple amounts of Alprazolam and Oxycodone pills, and more than $3,000 in cash from narcotics transactions were recovered.


     During the course of the investigation, numerous transactions took place between the two and an undercover Police Officer which included the sale of illegal narcotics and an illegal firearm.


     Following the investigation on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, Giovanny Alfaro, 29, and Jamie Juarez-Castillo, 23, both of Bayonne, New Jersey were taken into custody without incident on Avenue C in Bayonne.


     Alfaro has been charged with 28 counts including narcotics distribution and possession offenses as well as firearms and money laundering offenses.


     Juarez-Castillo was charged with 16 counts including conspiracy to distribute narcotics as well as child endangerment and money laundering. 


     Both Alfaro and Juarez-Castillo were processed on the charges pending future court proceedings in Hudson County Superior Court in Jersey City, New Jersey. 


"The rules of the court requires us to include a statement, that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt."
