49-Year-Old Atlantic City Man Convicted At Trial For The August 2022 Shooting Death Of Jordan Eaddy

MAYS LANDING, NJ- Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds reported, that on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, a jury sitting in Atlantic County, New Jersey, found a 49-year-old Atlantic City, New Jersey man guilty in connection with the August 2022 shooting death of a Philadelphia man.
On Tuesday, following a seven-day trial, the jury returned guilty verdicts against Kenneth Creek, 49, of Atlantic City on the charges of first-degree Murder; second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Following the jury's verdict the court found Creek guilty of second-degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons.
The conviction stems from an investigation that began on August 25, 2024, when just shortly after 12:00 a.m., members of the Atlantic City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting at the South Carolina Apartment Complex, located on the 1300 Block of Baltic Avenue in Atlantic City.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found Jordan Eaddy, 31, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania deceased on the ground from two gunshot wounds. Mr. Eaddy was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
During the trial, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office presented evidence, including video surveillance footage of the area, that showed Creek firing twice at Mr. Eaddy as he attempted to flee. Testimony from the Medical Examiner stated that one of the gunshot wounds to Mr. Eaddy's back was fatal and resulted in his death.
Sentencing the matter has been scheduled for September 25, 2024, before the Honorable Pamela Darcy, Judge of the Atlantic County Superior Court, at which time Creek will face a potential term of life in New Jersey State Prison.
