45-Year-Old Willingboro Man Dies After Being Gunned Down Outside Willingboro Social Club Tuesday Night

WILLINGBORO, NJ.- Burlington County Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 45-year-old Willingboro, New Jersey man who was gunned down Tuesday night outside the Diamond Dogz Social Club in an apparent drive-by shooting.
According to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at just around 9:15 p.m., members of the Willingboro Township Police Department responded to the Diamond Dogz Social Club located on the First Block of John F. Kennedy Way in Willingboro after receiving a 911 Emergency Call reporting shots fired.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a group of people outside the club and a man identified as Major Hamilton, 45, of Willingboro on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound to his chest. Mr. Hamilton was immediately transported to Virtua Willingboro Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a around 10:30 p.m.
The preliminary investigation by Detectives of the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and the Willingboro Township Police Department determined that while Mr. Hamilton was standing outside the Social Club with a group of people, a dark-colored vehicle appeared in the roadway and drove toward the group of people slowly and an occupant in the vehicle fired multiple rounds from inside the vehicle striking Mr. Hamilton in the chest ultimately causing his death.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made.
