Glen Rock Basketball Game Turns Violent After Gunfire Erupts

23-Year-Old Paterson Man Struck By Gunfire Following An Altercation At A Glen Rock Basketball Court

GLEN ROCK, NJ.- The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the Glen Rock Police Department are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect in a Glen Rock shooting that left a 23-year-old Paterson, New Jersey resident injured.


     As first reported by Bergen County Authorities, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, shortly after 7:30 p.m., members of the Glen Rock Police Department responded to Wilde Memorial Park in Glen Rock following receiving multiple reports of a disturbance involving a large group of people that were playing basketball on the park's basketball court. 



     Upon arrival, Police Officers located an individual, identified as a 23-year-old Paterson, New Jersey resident who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. the victim was treated at a nearby hospital and released.


     The initial report of the disturbance prompted a multiple county and local law enforcement response. 


      The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the Glen Rock Police Department request the assistance of the public in providing any photos, videos, or other pertinent information that may assist investigators. Those with pertinent information may remain anonymous and contact the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Tip Line at (201) 226-5532. Anyone with pertinent photos or videos taken in and around Wilde Memorial Park immediately before, during, or after the shooting, may submit them by utilizing the following link:
