Paterson Man Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire

26-Year-Old Paterson Man Becomes The Second Person To Be Struck By Gunfire In 12 Hours In Paterson, New Jersey

PATERSON, NJ.- A 26-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man finds himself becoming the second person within 12 hours and the fifth victim to be struck by gunfire during the 2024 Memorial Day weekend in Paterson, New Jersey.


     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Monday, May 27, 2024, at just around 2:30 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting in the area of Rosa Parks Boulevard and East 18th Street in the City of Paterson. 



     Upon arrival, Police Officers found evidence of a shooting and a 26-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as authorities continue their search for the gunman.
