67-Year-Old Newfield Child Predator Sentenced To State Prison For The Multiple Sexual Assaults Of Children

VINELAND, NJ.- Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae reported, that on Monday, May 6, 2024, Andy Chanza, 67, of Newfield, New Jersey appeared in Cumberland County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge William F. Ziegler on four counts of Sexual Assault. Mr. Chanza previously pleaded guilty to the charges on December 22, 2023.
Chanza was sentenced to a term of 8 years in New Jersey State Prison. The sentence was subject to the No Early Release Act which will require Chanza to serve 85 percent of his custodial sentence before becoming eligible for parole. Chanza will also be required to register as a sex offender according to Megan's Law Registration Requirements, he will also be on parole supervision for life.
The guilty plea and the sentence stem from an investigation that originated from several incidents that occurred in Vineland, New Jersey, over the course of 29 years. During that time frame, Chanza sexually assaulted four children by having sexual contact with the kids when they were all under the age of 13 years old.
