21-Year-Old Bayonne Man Remains Hospitalized In Critical Condition After Being Struck By A Car

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- A 21-year-old Bayonne, New Jersey man remains hospitalized after being struck by a motor vehicle while riding his bicycle that fled the scene Saturday morning in Jersey City, New Jersey.


     According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, just before 5:00 a.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to a report of a bicyclist who had been struck by a motor vehicle on Garfield Avenue between Gates and Seaview Avenues in Jersey City.



     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a 21-year-old Bayonne, New Jersey man who had sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle. that fled the scene. The man was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he remains in critical but stable condition.


     Detectives were able to identify a vehicle and a person of interest in the collision. The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this crash.
