Child Remains In Critical Condition After Nearly Drowning In A Pool

2-Year-Old Boy Remains Hospitalized In Critical Condition After Being Found In A South Plainfield Backyard Pool

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ.- The investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding an incident involving a 2-year-old South Plainfield, New Jersey boy who was found Saturday evening unresponsive in a swimming pool. The toddler remains hospitalized in critical condition.


     According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, shortly after 7:30 p.m., members of the South Plainfield Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting that a 2-year-old boy was not breathing after he had been found in a swimming pool at a South Plainfield residence.



     Upon arrival, Police Officers administered CPR, and the Child was immediately transported to JFK Hospital where the child remains in critical condition.
