85-Year-Old Woman Was Killed Saturday Afternoon After Being Struck By A Vehicle In Spring Lake Heights

SPRING LAKE HEIGHTS, NJ.- Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago reported Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Saturday afternoon's pedestrian collision when an 85-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a motor vehicle crossing Allaire Road in Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey.
According to authorities, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, just shortly before 1:30 p.m., members of the Spring Lake Heights Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting that a pedestrian had been struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Allaire and Old Mill Roads.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a 2023 Nissan Rogue being driven by a 70-year-old man, who had struck an 85-year-old woman who was crossing at the intersection. The woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
No charges or summonses have been issued at this time.
The cause of the crash is actively being investigated by Detectives of the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Serious Collision Analysis Response Team and the Spring Lake Heights Police Department.
