Man Struck By Gunfire Late Thursday Night In Paterson

24-Year-Old Paterson Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire On A Paterson Street

PATERSON, NJ.- On Thursday, a 24-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man becomes the second victim in less than 24 hours to be struck by gunfire on a Paterson, New Jersey street, as authorities continue to search for the gunman.


     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at approximately 11:58 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting in the area of East 33rd Street and 18th Avenue in the City of Paterson. 



     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 24-year-old Paterson, New Jersey suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment. Police Officers were able to locate evidence of a shooting in the area.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
