43-YEAR-OLD NEWARK MAN HOSPITALIZED AFTER BEING STRUCK BY GUNFIRE MONDAY NIGHT

PATERSON, NJ.- A 43-Year-Old Newark, New Jersey man remains Hospitalized after being Struck by Gunfire late last night on a Paterson, New Jersey Street, as Gun Violence once again continues to climb as the summer months approach.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Monday, April 15, 2024, shortly before 11:00 p.m., Members of The Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call Reporting Shots Fired in the area of Godwin Avenue and Carroll Street in The City of Paterson.
Upon arrival, Police Officers were able to locate a crime scene and evidence of a Shooting. While on scene, Police Officers were notified that a 43-Year-Old Newark, New Jersey man had arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center seeking treatment for a Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wounds. Following interviewing the man Police Officers determined that he was Shot in the area of Godwin Avenue and Carroll Street.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
