26-Year-Old Fairview Man Charged With Allegedly Sexually Assaulting A Woman Inside A Fairview Residence

FAIRVIEW, NJ.- On Friday, April 26, 2024, a 26-year-old Fairview, New Jersey man was taken into custody and jailed on charges for the sexual assault of a woman and two counts of child endangerment.

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Friday, April 26, 2024, the Fairview Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office after the Police Department received a report regarding the alleged sexual assault of a woman.

     An investigation was launched into the allegation. After interviewing witnesses including the victim, Detectives of the Bergen County Special Victims Unit and The Fairview Police Department quickly determined that Bylly Xiloj-Aquino, 26, of Fairview, New Jersey, sexually assaulted the woman inside a Fairview Residence. 

     Accordingly, on Friday, April 26, 2024, Xiloj-Aquino was taken into custody and charged with second-degree Sexual Assault; and two counts of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Xiloj-Aquino was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

     Authorities did not release the cause into the Child Endangerment Counts, but there were likely children present inside the residence at the time of the assault.

"The rules of the court requires us to include a statement, that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt."
