Colts Neck, New Jersey Fatal Crash Investigation

20-YEAR-OLD COLTS NECK MAN WAS KILLED TUESDAY AFTER HIS MOTORCYCLE REAR-ENDED A VAN

     "Monmouth County Authorities Are Continuing To Investigate The Circumstances Surrounding Tuesday Night's Fatal Crash."

COLTS NECK, NJ.- Yesterday, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago reported, that Detectives are continuing the investigation into a Fatal Crash that occurred Tuesday Night on Route 18 Northbound that Claimed the Life of an 18-Year-Old Eatontown, New Jersey man. 



     According to The Prosecutor's Office, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, just after 6:00 p.m., Members of The Colts Neck Police Department responded to Mile Post 17.0 of Route 18 Northbound in Colts Neck following receiving a Report of a Serious Motor Vehicle Crash.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers a 20-Year-Old Eatontown, New Jersey man who had succumbed to injuries he sustained after being ejected from the Motorcycle he was Operating. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.


     The preliminary investigation by responding Police Officers determined that the 20-Year-Old Eatontown man was Traveling Northbound on Route 18 when his 2017 CBR Honda Motorcycle Struck the Rear of a 2011 Ford F350 Utility Truck being Driven by a 27-Year-Old man. The Collision caused the Motorcycle Driver to be Ejected. The Motorcycle then slid on The Roadway and Burst into Flames. The Driver of The Ford Utility Truck remained at the Scene.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing.
