UPDATE: Man Identified And Charged In Sunday Morning Hotel Stabbing

42-YEAR-OLD MANALAPAN NEW JERSEY MAN CHARGED WITH STABBING WOMAN WITH SCISSORS

     "Christopher Serrano Has Been Charged With Attempted Murder & Weapons Offenses For The Stabbing Of A 55-Year-Old Woman."

OLD BRIDGE, NJ.- On Monday, March 4, 2024, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone reported that a 42-Year-Old Manalapan, New Jersey man was Charged in connection with an Early Sunday Morning Stabbing Incident at The Hampton Inn Hotel in Old Bridge, New Jersey.


     According to Authorities, on Sunday, March 3, 2024, shortly before 3:00 a.m., Members of The Old Bridge Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Disturbance at The Hampton Inn on Spring Valley Road in Old Bridge Township. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers encountered Christopher Serrano, 42, of Manalapan, New Jersey, Repeatedly Stabbing a 55-Year-Old Woman with a Pair of Scissors. After refusing the Police Officer's command to drop the Scissors, Serrano continued to Strike the Woman with the Scissors at which time a Police Officer Fired his Service Weapon Striking Serrano. Serrano is currently at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital being treated for a Gunshot Wound.


     The Woman was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with Multiple Stab Wounds and is expected to make a Full Recovery.


     Accordingly, on Sunday, March 3, 2024, Mr. Serrano was Formally Charged with One Count of First Degree Attempted Murder; Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. 


     Once Serrano is released from the Hospital he will be Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending Future Court Proceedings in Middlesex County Superior Court in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
