Man Charged With Murder In Jersey City Triple Shooting

36-YEAR-OLD HOBOKEN MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH MARCH 9, 2024 TRIPLE SHOOTING

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, a 36-Year-Old Hoboken, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody and Formally Charged in connection with a Triple Shooting that occurred in Jersey City on March 9, 2024.


     On Tuesday, Joseph Del Valle, 36, of Hoboken, New Jersey was Arrested on Summit Avenue in Jersey City and Charged with First Degree Murder; Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. Del Valle was Processed on The Charges and was Remanded to The Hudson County Correctional Facility pending a First Appearance and Detention Hearing.


     On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, a Hudson County Superior Court Judge Granted The Prosecutor's Office Motion to have Francisco Salcedo, 42, of Jersey City, New Jersey, following his arrest on March 11, 2024, in connection with the March 9, 2024, Triple Shooting. Salcedo was Taken into Custody at The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office and Formally Charged with Aggravated Assault; Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.


     The Arrests stem from an incident, when on Saturday, March 9, 2024, shortly before 6:30 a.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting Multiple Shots Fired on Jordan Avenue in Jersey City. 


     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a Crime Scene on Jordan Avenue between Mercer and Vroom Streets but were unable to locate any Victims. Within minutes The Jersey City Police Department was notified by Medical Staff, that Three men had arrived at Jersey City Medical Center for treatment for Gunshot Wounds. One of The Men, Christoph Terrero Marte, 33, of Jersey City, New Jersey, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 7:35 a.m. The Other Two Men, a 28-Year-Old Union City, New Jersey man, and a 31-Year-Old Jersey City, New Jersey man were treated for Non-Life Threatening Gunshot Wounds.
