Mahwah, New Jersey Man Charged With Child Abuse

MAHWAH, NJ.- A 37-Year-Old Mahwah, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody and Charged on Monday for Allegedly Abusing a Child under The Age of Thirteen.

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Monday, March 4, 2024, The Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit Regarding The Alleged Abuse of a Child.

     An investigation was initiated, Detectives of The Bergen County Special Victims Unit and The Mahwah Police Department quickly determined that Martino Desir, 37, of Mahwah, New Jersey, Physically Abused a Child Under The Age of Thirteen in Mahwah, New Jersey.

     As a result of the investigation, Mr. Desir was Taken into Custody in Mahwah, New Jersey, and Formally Charged with One Count of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Desir was Processed on The Charge and was Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court.
