Hackensack, New Jersey Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of A Child

76-YEAR-OLD HACKENSACK MAN CHARGED WITH THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A PRETEEN

     "Phillip Porter Was Charged On Monday With First Degree Aggravated Assault & Child Endangerment For The Alleged Sexual Assault Of A Child."

HACKENSACK, NJ.- Today, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported, on Monday, March 25, 2024, a 76-Year-Old Hackensack, New Jersey man was Taken into Custody and Formally Charged in connection with The Alleged Sexual Assault of a Preteen that occurred in Hackensack, New Jersey.

     According to Authorities, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, The Hackensack Police Department contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit after Receiving a Report of The Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child, that occurred in the past.

     An investigation by Detectives of The Bergen County Special Victims Unit and The Hackensack Police Department were able to determine that Phillip Porter, 76, of Hackensack, New Jersey, Sexually Assaulted a Child who was Under the Age of Thirteen at the time of The Assault. The Sexual Assault had occurred in the past in Hackensack, New Jersey.

     Accordingly, on Monday, March 25, 2024, Mr. Porter was Taken into Custody at The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office in Paramus, New Jersey, and Formally Charged with First Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; and Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Porter was Processed on The Charges and was Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
