NEWARK, NJ.- Essex County Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the Death of a Two-Year-Old Baby who was found Dead Saturday Afternoon inside a residence on South Orange Avenue in Newark, New Jersey.
According to Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, responded to a 911 Emergency Call on a Report of a Baby in Distress on The 100 Block of South Orange Avenue in The City of Newark.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a Baby inside a Residence Unresponsive. Despite Life-Saving Efforts by Police Officers, the Baby was pronounced deceased at the scene at 2:32 p.m. Saturday. The Cause and Manner of Death are pending an autopsy by The Regional Medical Examiner's Office.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives are continuing their search for answers.
