30-YEAR-OLD WOODBINE MAN INDICTED ON CHARGES FOR THE NEW YEAR'S DAY FATAL STABBING

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds reported, on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, that a Grand Jury sitting in Atlantic County, New Jersey, Returned an Indictment against Vincent Oglesby, 30, of Woodbine, New Jersey, on The Charges of Murder; Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
The Indictment is in connection with The Stabbing Death of Richard Vincent O'Brien, III, which occurred in The Morning Hours on New Year's Day in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Oglesby remains lodged in The Atlantic County Justice Facility pending Trial.
On Monday, January 1, 2024, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Members of The Atlantic City Police Department responded to The Unit Block of South California Avenue in Atlantic City, following receiving a 911 Emergency Call reporting a man Bleeding.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located Mr. O'Brien, III suffering from a Stab Wound to his Neck. Mr. O'Brien, III was immediately transported to Atlantic City Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later.
