U.S. SUPREME COURT AGREES TO REVIEW WHETHER FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMP IS IMMUNE FROM PROSECUTION

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Wednesday, The United States Supreme Court has agreed to review Former President Donald Trump's Claim that he should be Immune and Barred from Criminal Prosecution for Acts Allegedly committed while in office. Yesterday's Decision is laying the groundwork for a Blockbuster Election-Year Showdown that will have major ramifications for the Federal Criminal Cases against him.
The unsigned order from The Court granted Special Counsel, Jack Smith's request for The Justices on the issue. The Justices are to determine, whether and if so, to what extent a Former President can enjoy Presidential Immunity from Criminal Prosecution for conduct during his tenure in office.
The Court will hear arguments in the case during the week of April 22nd. Further in its order, it indicates that all proceedings in Jack Smith's Case will remain on hold until The Court renders its decision which will be expected at the end of The Court's Term, at the end of June.
Wednesday's decision by The Court marks the Second Time this term The Court will hear a case involving the presumed Republican Presidential Candidate. Separate arguments were held in early February to the validity of whether Trump could removed from the Colorado Primary Ballot over claims that he committed insurrection in The January 6, 2021, Capitol Riots.
Yesterday The High Court's decision struck a devastating blow to Special Counsel Jack Smith's Case against Former President Trump, in trying to bring him to Trial before The 2024 Election. And even if The Court rules against Trump, the case may not be ready for Trial until late Summer or Beyond. This calls attention to the longstanding tradition that The Department of Justice will not take any actions against a candidate within six months of an election.
So, for now, the Prosecutions against Former President Trump will remain on hold and are in the hands of The United States Supreme Court.
