Camden City Man Struck And Killed By Gunfire Early Saturday Morning

     "Camden County Authorities Are Continuing The Investigation Into The Saturday Morning Shooting Death Of  A 44-Year-Old Camden City Man."

CAMDEN, NJ.- A 44-Year-Old Camden, New Jersey man lost his life after being Gunned Down Early Saturday Morning and Camden City, New Jersey Street as Senseless Gun Violence continues to Plague New Jersey's Cities.


     According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, on Saturday, February 24, 2024, shortly after 2:30 a.m., Members of The Camden County Police Department responded to a Multiple ShotSpotter Activation and Multiple 911 Emergency Calls reporting a Person being Shot in the area of The 3100 Block of Congress Road in Camden.


     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Maurice McCargo, 44, of Camden City, New Jersey, suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. Mr. McCargo was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.


     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue to search for the Gunman.
