41-YEAR-OLD EWING MAN SENTENCED TO STATE PRISON FOR THE PELLET GUN MURDER OF HIS GIRLFRIEND

EWING, NJ.- Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported, that on Thursday, a 41-Year-Old Ewing, New Jersey, man was Sentenced to a Term of 45 Years in New Jersey State Prison for The June 2020, Drug-Fueled Pellet Gun Slaying of his 32-Year-Old Girlfriend.
On Thursday, February 1, 2024, Mercer County Superior Court Judge Peter E. Warshaw Sentenced Aaron Adams, 41, of Ewing, New Jersey to 45 Years in New Jersey State Prison. In November 2023, a Jury sitting in Mercer County, New Jersey, returned Guilty Verdicts on The Charges of First Degree Murder; and Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
The Sentence and Conviction stem from an incident, when on June 1, 2020, at 6:30 p.m., Members of The Ewing Police Department responded to a Glen Stewart Home, after receiving a report that the Body of a deceased woman had been found inside the Home.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found the Body of a woman, later identified as Asley Davis, 32, of Levittown, Pennsylvania, in the basement of the home. Responding Police Officers noticed there were Visible Wounds on Ms. Davis' Body. Ms. Davis was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An investigation was launched by Members of The Mercer County Homicide Task Force in conjunction with The Ewing Police Department. During a Court Authorized Search Warrant of the residence, Detectives located Two Air Rifles and a Handheld BB Gun in the same room where Ms. Davis' Body was Found. Detectives also found Numerous used Bags of Suspected Heroin, with Multiple Identifying Stamps on The Bags. It was determined that Mr. Adams resided at the Glen Stewart Drive Home and was Taken into Custody and Charged with a Weapons Offense.
During a subsequent autopsy, The Regional Medical Examiner's Office determined the Cause of Ms. Davis' Death was due to Massive Internal Bleeding from her Organs after she was Struck by a Metal Pellet from an Air Gun, and The Manner of Death was Homicide. At that time Mr. Adams was then Charged with First Degree Murder.
