ATLANTIC COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE CONTINUING TO INVESTIGATE A CRASH THAT KILLED A PEDESTRIAN

BUENA, NJ.- The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Crash Investigations Unit and The New Jersey State Police are investigating Yesterday Morning's Fatal Crash that Killed a Pedestrian while Crossing the Roadway.
According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, just shortly before 8:30 a.m., Members of The New Jersey State Police responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an individual being Struck by a Motor Vehicle in the area of 1113 Harding Highway in Buena, New Jersey.
Upon arrival, State Troopers found an unidentified individual who had been Struck by a 2017 Hyundai in the roadway. The individual was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
The initial investigation by New Jersey State Troopers and The Atlantic County Fatal Crash Investigations Unit determined that a Black 2017 Hyundai was Driving Eastbound on Route 40 approaching 1113 Harding Highway when the individual attempted to cross the street and was Struck by the Hyundai.
