ROXBURY STORE OWNER CHARGED FOR FILMING EMPLOYEES IN STORE'S BATHROOM

ROXBURY, NJ.- On Friday, December 15, 2023, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll reported that following an investigation, Nicholas Zirpoli, 35, of Lincoln Park, New Jersey was Arrested earlier in the week and Charged with Nine Counts of Third Degree Invasion of Privacy; and One Count of Fourth Degree Tampering with Evidence.
Mr. Zirpoli is the Owner and Operator of Plato's Closet, a Retail Clothing Store located in Roxbury, New Jersey. Around February 26, 2023, it has been Alleged that Zirpoli had Placed a Recording Device in The Employee Bathroom to Record Male and Female Employees as they used the Bathroom and then Zirpoli Destroyed the Recordings.
Following his Arrest, Zirpoli was remanded to The Morris County Correctional Facility, pending his First Appearance. On December 13, 2023, Zirpoli was Released on Pretrial Montering pending Future Court Proceedings.
