FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ.- A 60-Year-Old Franklin Lakes, New Jersey man was Arrested and Charged with the Murder of his 87-Year-Old Father whom Police Officers found Dead inside his Haddon Place Home Yesterday Morning.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Sunday, December 10, 2023, shortly after 7:30 a.m., Members of The Franklin Lakes Police responded to a Haddon Place Home after receiving a report of a Man Found Dead inside the home.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found George J. Hagal Dead inside the Home. A subsequent investigation by Detectives of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit in conjunction with The Franklin Lakes Police Department quickly determined that Mr. Hagal's Son, David Allen Hagal, 60, of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, Killed his Father during the early morning hours on Sunday.
Accordingly, David Allen Hagal was Taken into Custody and Formally Charged with First Degree Murder; Two Counts of Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; and Two Counts of Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
Mr. Hagal was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings
