EAST ORANGE, NJ.- Essex County Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Today's Early Morning Fatal Shooting of a 35-Year-Old Roselle, New Jersey woman who was Guuned Down on an East Orange Street.
According to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and East Orange Police Chief Phyllis Bindi, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at approximately 12:55 a.m., Members of The East Orange Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Shooting on The 100 Block of Springdale Avenue in East Orange.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a woman, later identified as Janill Perez, 35, of Roselle, New Jersey suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. Ms. Perez was immediately transported to University Hospital, where despite Life-Saving Efforts, Ms. Perez succumbed to her injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased shortly after 1:30 a.m. Today.
