BREAKING: Atlantic City, New Jersey Man Sentenced To State Prison

32-YEAR-OLD ATLANTIC CITY MAN WITH PRIOR CONVICTIONS SENTENCED TO 16 YEARS IN PRISON

     " Sean Lowney Will Now Spend The Next 16 Years In New Jersey State Prison For Possessing A Firearm With Prior Convictions."

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- Yesterday, a 32-Year-Old Atlantic City, New Jersey man learned his Fate, when an Atlantic County, New Jersey Judge Sentenced him to an Extended Term of 16 Years in New Jersey State Prison for Carrying a Handgun as a Persistent Offender.



     According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, on Thursday, November 16, 2023, during a Hearing in Atlantic County Superior Court. The Honorable Dorothy Garrabrant, J.S.C., Sentenced Sean Lowney, 32, of Atlantic City, New Jersey to 16 Years in New Jersey State Prison with a Parole Ineligibility of Eight Years for a Second Degree Charge of Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons concurrent to Five Years in Prison with a Parole Ineligibility Three and a Half Years for Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.


     Due to Mr. Lowney's Extensive Criminal History, Lowney was Eligible to be Sentenced to an Extended Term under the Persistent Offenders' Statute and was Sentenced in accordance with that Statute.


     Lowney was Convicted on August 11, 2023, by a Jury sitting in Atlantic County, New Jersey stemming from an incident when Lowney Wielded a Revolver at his Ex-Girlfriend's Residence on May 17, 2021, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
