FAIRVIEW, NJ.- Yesterday, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that a 25-Year-Old North Bergen man was Taken into Custody on Friday, August 11, 2023, and Charged in connection with The Sexual Assault of a Child under the Age of Thirteen.
On Friday, July 28, 2023, The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office contacted The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit regarding the Alleged Sexual Assault of a Child. A Collaborative Investigation by Members of The Bergen County Special Victims Unit, The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office, and The Fairview Police Department quickly determined that Angel Chavix, 25, of North Bergen, New Jersey, Sexually Assaulted a Child who was Under the Age of Thirteen on One Occasion.
Accordingly, on Friday, August 11, 2023, Mr. Chavix was Arrested in Fairview, New Jersey, and Formally Charged with Second Degree Sexual Contact; and Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mr. Chavix was Processed on The Charges and Remanded to The Bergen County Jail pending Future Court Proceedings.
