MERCER COUNTY AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING THE FATAL SHOOTING OF 36-YEAR-OLD MAN

LAWRENCE, NJ.- Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is continuing to investigate an Early Friday Morning Fatal Shooting of a 36-Year-Old Lawrence Township Man, who was Shot inside his home.
On Friday, August 11, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Members of The Lawrence Township Police Department responded to a Home on Mendrey Court on a report that someone had been Shot inside the Home. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Anthony Irizarry, 36, of Lawrence Township, in his Living Room suffering from a Gunshot Wound to his Back.
Mr. Irizarry was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
