BREAKING: Lacey Township Fatal Fire Investigation

     " Lanoka Harbor House Fire Claims The Lives Of 4 & Leaves 1 Hospitalized."

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Four People have tragically perished in a Lacey Township, New Jersey House Fire, that occurred Yesterday Afternoon, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.



     On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at approximately 12:30 p.m., The Jacey Township Police Department received a 911 Emergency Call reporting a Structure Fire with Individuals trapped inside, located on Buttonwood Drive in the Lanoka Harbor Section of Lacey Township. Upon arrival, Emergency Personnel found a Fully Engulfed Two-Story House Fire. 


     A Woman was Rescued from the rear of the house and transported to Community Medical Center for treatment. Fire Personnel learned that there were an Additional Four Victims Trapped Inside the Home. Attempts were made to rescue the Four, but the Roof Collapsed, forcing Firefighters to evacuate the structure.


     " This is an absolutely tragic situation. Sadly, four of the occupants of the residence perished in this fire. An investigation into the origin and cause of the fire is being conducted by The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Arson Unit, The Lacey Township Police Department Detective Bureau, Ocean County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, Ocean County Fire Marshal's Office, and New Jersey State Fire Marshal's Office," according to The Prosecutor's Office.
