BREAKING: Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey Man Pleads Guilty

EGG HARBOR MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO NARCOTICS DISTRIBUTION CHARGES

     " Kevin Vaughan, Pled Guilty On Wednesday To Second Degree Possession With The Intent To Distribute Fentanyl & Hydrocodone."

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds reported that on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, Kevin Vaughan, 48, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, Pleaded Guilty in Atlantic County State Superior Court to Second Degree Possession with the Intent to Distribute Fentanyl; and Second Degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Hydrocodone. In return for the Guilty Plea, the State will require Mr. Vaughan to Serve a Five Year New Jersey State Prison Sentence, on both Counts.

     On April 21, 2021, following a Long-Term Narcotics Investigation, Detectives of The Atlantic City Police Department and The FBI Task Force conducted a Motor Vehicle Stop that Vaughan was Driving. As Mr. Vaughan exited his Vehicle, Detectives noticed a Large Bulge in Vaughan's Waistband. A search of Mr. Vaughn's Person uncovered 1200 Wax Folds of Fentanyl. Vaughan was placed Under Arrest and Consented to a Search of His Vehicle. Upon Search of the Vehicle, Detectives located 72 Pills of Hydrocodone.

     The Vehicle was impounded and towed. Mr. Vaughan was then transported to The Atlantic City Police Department for Processing on The Charges. While being Processed, a further Search of Mr. Vaughan revealed an Additional 14 Bags of Crack Cocaine.

     The Honorable Jeffrey R. Wilson, J.S.C., has Scheduled Sentencing for Mr. Vaughan for November 15, 2023, in Atlantic County State Superior Court.
