MERCER COUNTY AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING THE STABBING DEATH OF A MAN

     " Detectives Are Looking For A Suspect For Last Night's Stabbing Death Of A 27-Year-Old Trenton Man."

TRENTON, NJ.- Today, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and The Trenton Police Department are actively investigating a Fatal Stabbing that occurred late last night in Trenton, New Jersey.

     On Sunday, May 14, 2023, at approximately 10:46 p.m., Members of The Trenton Police Department responded to The 500 Block of Second Street in The City of Trenton on a report of a Stabbing in Progress. Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Roger Martinez-Rodriguez, 27, suffering from a Life-Threatening Stab Wound to his Torso. 

     Mr. Martinez-Rodriguez was immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased.

     No Arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
