North Carolina Men Charged

TWO NORTH CAROLINA MEN CHARGED WITH MONEY LAUNDERING

     " Rami Faozi Azam & Mohammed Suhail Rawashedh Have Been Both Charged With Third Degree Money Laundering."

HACKENSACK, NJ.- Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella reported that Following an Investigation into Money Laundering, Two North Carolina men have been Arrested and Charged.


     On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the conclusion of a Money Laundering Investigation, Members of The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Force conducted a Traffic Stop of a Vehicle as it traveled through Bergen County, New Jersey. The investigation revealed that the Driver, Mohammed SuhailRawashedh, 33, and the passenger Rami Faozi Azam, 44, both of Weldon, North Carolina, were transporting $36,000 in Cash.


     Accordingly, Mr. Rawashedh and Mr. Azam were Arrested at the scene, and both men were Charged with One Count of Third Degree Money Laundering. They were Processed on The Charge and Released on a Summons pending future Court Proceedings.
