Atlantic City Man Sentenced To Prison

AN ATLANTIC CITY MAN WILL MOST LIKELY SPEND THE REST OF HIS LIFE IN PRISON FOR HUMAN TRAFFICKING

     " Tahir Gregory Was Sentenced To 60 Years In New Jersey State Prison For The Human Trafficking Of 2 Women."

MAYS LANDING, NJ.- Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds reported that on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 44-Year-Old Tahir Gregory of Atlantic City, New Jersey was Sentenced by The Honorable Donna Taylor, J.S.C. to a Term of 60 Years in New Jersey State Prison. Mr. Gregory must serve 40 Years before becoming eligible for Parole. Mr. Gregory was also Ordered to Pay a Fine of $25,000. for Each Victim and an Additional $7,000. in Restitution to each Victim.

     The Sentence stems from an investigation when Gregory was Originally Charged on September 27, 2017, with The Human Trafficking and Promoting Prostitution of Two Women.

     During the course of the Two-Week Trial in Atlantic County State Superior Court, the Two Victims identified Mr. Gregory as their Pimp over a period of time. Mr. Gregory prayed on the women, by using their Addiction to Heroin against them. Gregory also went so far as to attempt to control one of the Victims from The County Jail. 

     During the Trial, Both Victims testified that Gregory would take any Money the women would earn from Prostitution which he Forced them into. Gregory took one of the Victims' Identification, including her Birth Certificate, as a way to Control Her. 

     Since Mr. Gregory's Arrest, both Women have entered into a Recovery Phase of their Addiction and were Strong Enough to Testify and Face Mr. Gregory during his Trial.
