Students Charged With Assault

NINE STUDENTS HAVE BEEN CHARGED FOR A MARCH 17, 2023, ASSAULT INCIDENT

     " 9 Students, From The Phillipsburg Middle School & High School Have Each Been Charged With Third Degree Aggravated Assault & Conspiracy."

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ.- On Monday, March 27, 2023, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer reported that following an investigation, Nine Students have been Charged in connection with a March 17, 2023, Assault in The Town of Phillipsburg, New Jersey.

     On Friday, March 17, 2023, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Members of The Phillipsburg Police Department responded to Hudson Street on a report of an Assault. Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered that 9 Juveniles from The Phillipsburg Middle School and High School were involved in an Altercation. Due to that, Juveniles were involved, their names, ages, and the nature of the altercation were not released.

     As a result of the investigation, the Nine Juveniles were each Charged with the following: One Count of Third Degree Aggravated Assault; and One Count of Third Degree Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault. The Juveniles were Processed on the Charges and released to their parents, pending future Court Proceedings in Warren County Family Court.

    In a released statement, The Phillipsburg School District and The Phillipsburg Police Department will not tolerate violence against its Citizens or Pupils.

" The Rules Of The Court Require Us To Include A Statement, That States: The Charges Outlined In This Publication Are Merely Accusations And As In Adult Criminal Cases, Juveniles Are Also Presumed Innocent Unless And Until Proven Guilty Beyond Reasonable Doubt."
