HUDSON COUNTY AUTHORITIES ARE LOOKING FOR THE VEHICLE THAT FATAL STRUCK A PEDESTRIAN

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced that The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and Members of The Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating a Fatal Hit and Run Collision that Claimed the life of a 55-Year-Old Jersey City man early Sunday Morning.
On Sunday, March 5, 2023, at approximately 12:31 a.m., Members of The Jersey City Police Department responded to the area Stegman and Garfield Avenues in Jersey City on a report of a Pedestrian being Struck by a Vehicle.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Ralph Haynes, 55, of Jersey City on the Ground having sustained Life Threatening Injuries. Mr. Haynes was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased at 3:38 p.m.
The initial investigation determined that Mr. Haynes was Struck while crossing the street. The Vehicle that Struck Mr. Haynes Fled the Scene.
