OFF DUTY NYC HOSPITAL POLICE OFFICER STRUCK BY GUNFIRE 

     " An Off Duty NYC Hospital Police Officer Remains Hospitalized After Being Shot Yesterday Morning In Hawthorne, New Jersey."

HAWTHORNE, NJ.- Passaic County Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstance surrounding a Shooting that has left an Off Duty New York City Hospital Police Officer Hospitalized, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.

     On Thursday, March 2, 2023, at approximately 6:20 a.m., Members of The Hawthorne responded to the area of Brownstone Terrace in Hawthorne on a report of a Shooting. Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, who had sustained a Non Life Threatening Gunshot Wound to his Leg.

     The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment.

     No Arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
