Fatal Newark Double Shooting

TWO MEN GUNNED DOWN SATURDAY AFTERNOON IN NEWARK

     " Sajade A. Nichols Of Carteret, New Jersey & An Unidentified Man Were Fatally Shot On Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard."

NEWARK, NJ.- Detectives from The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force continue the investigation into the Shooting Death of Two Men late yesterday Afternoon, according to Essex County Authorities.

     On Saturday, March 4, 2023, at approximately 5:06 p.m., Members of The Newark Police Department responded to a report of Multiple Shots Fired on The 700 Block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in The City of Newark.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found Sajade A. Nichols, 35, of Carteret, New Jersey suffering from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. Mr. Nichols was immediately transported by Emergency Medical Service Personnel to University Hospital in Newark where he succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased at 5:54 p.m. 

     A Second Victim, an Unidentified Man was also found unresponsive having succumbed from Multiple Gunshot Wounds. The Man was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene at 5:25 p.m.
