CUMBERLAND COUNTY MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH THE FATAL STABBING OF HIS PARENTS

BRIDGETON, NJ.- A Hopewell Township, New Jersey man has been Charged in connection with the Stabbing Death of his Parents inside their Tipton Drive Home on Monday, March 13, 2023, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae reported.
On Monday, March 13, 2023, just around 7:30 a.m., Members of The New Jersey State Police, Bridgeton Barracks responded to a Home on Tipton Drive in Hopewell Township, for a Welfare Check. Upon arrival, State Troopers made entry into the Home and discovered a Man and a Woman, later identified as Billy C. Williams, Jr. and Brenda L. Williams, unresponsive having succumbed to apparent Stab Wounds.
The Cause and Manner of Death are pending findings of The Cumberland County Regional Medical Examiner's Office.
According to Authorities, during the ensuing investigation, Detectives quickly identified Craig P. Williams, 34, the Couple's Son as a Suspect and the person responsible for their Death.
As a result, Mr. Williams was Taken into Custody and Formally Charged with Two Counts of First Degree Murder; Two Counts of Third Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; Two Counts of Fourth Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; Two Counts of Second Degree Desecration of Human Remains; One Count of Third Degree Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution; One Count of Fourth Degree Obstruction; and One Count of Fourth Degree Tampering with Evidence.
Mr. Williams was Processed on the Charges and Remanded to The Cumberland County Jail pending his First Appearance and Detention Hearing which will be held in Cumberland County State Superior Court in Bridgeton, New Jersey.
